Hi

What ‘IDE’ or ‘pure PHP-IDE’ do you recommend?
Is there good IDEs under some gpl or other open source license that you recommend?

:)

Apache NetBeans 11.0 is the best choice for me

I was using Netbeans a few years ago, but then I found PhpStorm. It's paid but I would never go back again. You can try beta versions for free (one month per release).

I also prefer PhpStorm

Probably i ll try netbeans, anyway, is there some equivalent like the ninjaIDE for python but for PHP, in the sense of being mainly one-language-oriented and free? and some other recommendations and more personal experiences with paid open-sourced IDEs…

If you're planning on using PHP to get paid, get PHPStorm.

Ive worked with Eclipse (ouch), NetBeans and PHPStorm and my goodness, PHPStorm is just so much better. Once you get used to it and its capabilities, you won't regret a single penny you've paid for it.

When you're stuck post a question and someone will probably answer.
